Warner Howard's AirforceTM hand dryer gets better and better!
Airforce, the high speed, low energy hand dryer from Warner Howard which has been so successful in responding to end users demands for more sustainable facilities solutions, is now an even better product!
Product development by World Dryer has resulted in a dryer that is much quieter to run, meaning that it is suitable for all environments. Until now, a feature of the high speed, low energy dryers on the market in general has been that they are much louder than traditional dryers. However, this issue has now been resolved on the Airforce, and the new dryers are substantially quieter than before.
Additionally, the Airforce range has been enhanced with the introduction of both black and brushed chrome versions, to complement the existing white and polished chrome units. The black Airforce, like its white counterpart, features SteriTouch® antibacterial surface protection all over the dryer, while on the brushed chrome unit the outlet area is protected with SteriTouch.
Mark Hinton, General Manager of Warner Howard, commented: "The Airforce has been a great success for us, and has enabled end users to make substantial savings on their running costs. This most recent product development means that the Airforce is suitable for all environments, will complement all washroom decor, and ensures that savings are available for all."

Here at Warner Howard we know that our dryers are seen everywhere, but so far, the art world has eluded us. Until now! The winner of the Godfrey Argent Award at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, 22 year old Ali Lomas, won for her ‘Untitled 1 of 4’. It’s a photograph full of unspoken tension and unanswered questions, and features, very prominently, an A48 hand dryer!
The photograph is on display at the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square, along with the other nominations for the prize, and is also in the December 2009 issue of Elle magazine.

Merry Hill Blown Away by Airforce!
Merry Hill Shopping Centre chooses CEF to supply Warner Howard’s new Airforce high speed, low energy hand dryer.
When close to 24 million visitors pass through your doors every year reliability and economy are paramount. So when the facility managers at Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Dudley, West Midlands were looking for new hand dryers, there was only one logical choice – the new Airforce from Warner Howard - it’s green, it’s clean, it’s fast, it’s simple.
Merry Hill is the UK’s third largest shopping centre, housing in excess of 250 shops as well as a cinema and a number of restaurants and bars, which means that the washrooms are in use day and night. With such a vast area to cover, Merry Hill turned to City Electrical Factors in Halesowen to help find reliable new hand dryers to be located throughout all of the washrooms. The no-touch Airforce hand dryer from Warner Howard filled all the criteria - it uses less energy than any other dryer in its class; has an antibacterial surface to minimise germs; cuts drying time by half and is available in a stylish chrome finish. With all these features, it really is value for money.
Shaun Stokes, Assistant Facilities Manager at Merry Hill, says, "We aim to make the shopping and leisure experience as pleasant as possible for everyone who comes through our doors and Airforce hand dryers are certainly helping us maintain our high standards throughout the washrooms. The buying decision wasn’t taken lightly but in the end it came down to Airforce’s energy efficiency, competitive price and smart looks."
Glen Pearson, Branch Manager at CEF in Halesowen, adds, "We were delighted to be able to help Merry Hill make a choice for their new hand dryers. Airforce is a great model providing everything that is required from today’s hand dryer."
In the first phase of refurbishment alone, 30 units have already been installed. And with further orders in the pipeline, Airforce is obviously a big hit at Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
Feel the Force!
Thrill-seeking visitor to Alton Towers' Burger King restaurant will soon be using Warner Howard's high speed low energy AirforceTM to dry their hands after Newey & Eyre in Derby sold 100 of the white units. The restaurant will be able to make big energy savings by using Airforce - it has the lowest energy usage of any dryer in its class at just 1.1kW. Coupled with a dry item of around 10 seconds this means it consumes at least 80% less energy that traditional dryers. In addition, the whole unit incorporates SteriTouch® anti-bacterial protection to stop the spread of germs and prevent cross-contamination.
Warner Howard gets on track with at St Pancras.

Warner Howard launches lowest energy hand dryer
Warner Howard, the UK market leader in hand dryers, has launched a new innovation in low energy, fast drying hand dryers - AirforceTM. The Airforce uses less energy than any other hand dryer in its class – up to 80% less than traditional dryers – therefore resulting in significant cost savings. It also drastically reduces the spread of bacteria such as salmonella, MRSA and E-coli with a no-touch mechanism and an anti-bacterial coating. One of the fastest and most compact dryers around, Airforce could save enough energy in one year to make almost 100,000 photocopies!
James Clark, MD of Warner Howard, the exclusive distributor of the World Dryer range of hand dryers in the UK, says: "Companies are rightly concerned about energy reduction from a cost and an environmental perspective. With the addition of the Airforce dryer into the Warner Howard range of high quality hand dryers we are, as always responding to the demands of the market. Our design team have met these customer requirements by developing the lowest energy hand dryer in its class. This simple dryer is not only fast but also hygienic as it has a no-touch mechanism and comes with SteriTouch® which inhibits bacterial growth.
