NOTICE OF RETROFIT FOR WHITE MR48 WORLD DRYERS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN MAY 2009 AND April 2011

Description

World Dryer has found that dryer model MR48, manufactured between May 2009 and April 2011, have nozzles that may be electrically isolated from the base of the dryer and therefore not grounded.

There are no electrical components within or touching the nozzle itself, however, Warner Howard believe that it would prudent to retro-fit an ‘earthing kit’ to ensure that there is no risk of failure. There have not been any incidents reported to World Dryer Corporation, or Warner Howard (PHS).

 

Retrofit Solution

World Dryer has created a retrofit solution that Warner Howard (PHS) will supply and fit FOC, for those customers who have one of the affected dryers.

 

Dryers Affected

The dryers affected by this announcement are ‘White’ MR48 hand dryers manufactured by World Dryer Corporation.

MR48 dryers with Chrome and Brushed Steel finishes are not affected.

This notice only affects those dryers manufactured between May 2009 and April 2011.

 

 

Affected dryers may be identified by the serial number on the base of the cover:

All Dryers with Serial No’s starting with 2009 and 2010

All dryers starting 2011 up to 201116001

 

Recommended Action

If you are able to identify that you have an affected dryer, please contact PHS on 0870 850 4352 and we will arrange to fit the upgrade FOC.
